Woodford Church of England Primary School is a growing primary school with nearly 100 pupils from aged 2-11. There is a purposeful, calm atmosphere in the school where children have fun but are expected to work hard and learn new skills. The children are incredibly well behaved and are supported by a hard-working team of teachers, teaching assistants and other members of the support team. The staff share a responsibility for making learning life at school exciting, fun and enjoyable but also for raising standards. Above all else, we all know that happy children make the best learners!
Our most recent Ofsted Inspection in May 2016 defined Woodford Church of England Primary School as a good school. Statements include ‘Teaching is good across the school. Teachers plan lessons that are well matched to the needs of the pupils. As a result, most pupils make good progress’. ‘Pupils enjoy school. They have positive relationships with the staff, who provide good role models so that pupils are polite and behave well in and around school’.

It is a real privilege to be Headteacher of this wonderful school. I am proud of all the people who contribute in some way to providing high quality education, opportunities and experiences for our children. We hope that the children leave Woodford Church of England Primary School having achieved their very best and that they have happy memories of the people, events and their time at this school.
